Ghelsy Reign Ravago:

Being a first timer in the pageant world was hard. Seeing the other candidates who are very competitive because they have pageant skills, you can already feel the pressure, and you cannot avoid being intimidated. Honestly, I experienced those things.

Well, “Luck favors the preparared.” I guess winning beauty pageants is not about the experiences that you had before. It is all about the way you prepared for it. If you are not ready for the crown, then it will never be yours.

Sir Gau helped me to correct my posture, the way I walk and talk in front of the crowd was developed, and also it taught me how to be beautiful inside and out. I believed that training is a requirement if you want to have the crown.

I’ve joined Limgas na Pangasinan, and I was fortunate to have people around me who willingly supported and helped me win. One of them is Sir Gau Callanta Jr., a pageant trainer here in Pangasinan. He has helped me improve the things I know about pageantry and gave me tips on walking and on answering pageant questions. I’m very thankful for the knowledge that he has shared with me and with all the other beauty queen aspirants that he has helped. Indeed, Sir Gau is one of the best pageant trainers in this generation.

Jemimah Ann T. Torrado:

Winning the title of Limgas Na Pangansinan is an honor and a blessing to have. I learned a lot about myself and the people around me.

Gaining the title wasn’t an easy responsibility. It required a lot of hard work, passion, determination, and a lot of discipline. My journey was a great learning experience; especially, I’m not a pageant lover type of girl. There are areas in me that need work for myself to do well and to be ready, and one of them is having my pageant walk.

I am grateful I decided to be a part of GCamp and learn from Sir Gau Callanta’s creative juices. My pageant walk training helped me a lot with my posture, flexibility, and confidence. But again, for you to reach your goal, you need to be an extra miler. Walking with five pounds of weights strapped on your legs while wearing 5-6 inches heels for hours during training isn’t fun and games. Though it can be exhausting, I am grateful for the people I met alongside and trained with. We all shared amazing encouragement, strength, and confidence to keep pursuing our goals.

I highly recommend to our future beauty queens to train with Sir Gau. Not only you learn a lot with pageant walk, but you will also build a relationship with other women you train with.  Soli Deo Gloria!

Never was I used to public exposure until my mom pushed me to join beauty pageants. I was quiet, shy, and not expressive of my thoughts. But that was before until I was introduced to Sir Gau.

Sir Gau is vibrant, brilliant, fast thinker, and outspoken. My confidence grew little by little as I meet Sir Gau for my walk training and question and answer coaching. I think I was able to absorb his confidence. I learn a lot from him, and never in my pageant career was I not able to answer a pageant question.

Now, I am not only confident in joining pageants, but I am confident with myself and the way I handle things already. I even pass the hardest interview and test for a cabin crew position in PAL that I didn’t dream of with my old self. Until now, he is my one call away adviser and life coach.

Reignje Mae Dumbrique:

A pageant guru once told me there’s something “wrong” with my walk and that it cannot be remedied. I was very down and was on the verge of quitting my first non-school related pageant.

But thanks to a friend, she recommended Sir Gau Callanta Jr., a Walk Trainer based in Dagupan City.

At first, I don’t even know there’s such thing as walk trainer (meant for pageants), but I gave it a shot. During the training, I realized that other than yourself, one of the vital factors to help you win is your walk trainer. In this respect, Sir Gau is the master among any other trainers here in Pangasinan. He’s been of great help for me to win the crown as Miss San Carlos City 2017, plus two out of its three major awards. I can say that he can transform you into something someone different on-stage, and I mean it.

Fear comes from the lack of knowledge or ignorance per se, and the best remedy for such anxiety is to gain knowledge and understanding. That is what Sir Gau always tells me during our training because I am still afraid of doing things that I am not familiar with. From then on, he teaches me everything that I need to know in the pageant industry from cat-walking, answering questions, to presenting myself in public. I became more confident since then because I already know the basics and the do’s and don’ts in pageantry.

I am so glad that I choose him to hone my skills and personality as well. I became a queen in just a couple of days of training. Sir Gau corrected my walk and also taught me some techniques on how to bring out my winning aura. He does always put in my mind that the crown will never be mine if I am not prepared for it. It is an honor to be crowned as Miss STI College Dagupan, Miss SLU, and Miss San Fabian – all Title.

‘ve spent so many years looking forward to this phase of my life. Sir Gau made this all possible – turning a simple girl to become one of the titlists and to a woman brave enough to face the crowd and exceeding her limitations.

I have my deepest gratitude to the most prominent and sought after Walk Stylist and Q and A Coach of all times,

Sir Gau Callanta Jr., for his relentless efforts in molding me to be worthy of what I have achieved. Sir Gau did not only thought me how to walk but brought out the queen in me. I’m forever in debt for the wisdom shared to me by the brilliant Sir Gau.

All in all, flabbergasted is an understatement. Sir Gau will do wonders even in just a few rush meetings!

I did not expect that I would win all the major awards: Best in Long Gown, Best in Casual Wear, Best in Swimsuit. Sir Gau always calculate things and your possibility of winning the award, and he made no mistakes with his calculations.

During practices, Sir Gau would look or stare at how I walk and give comments and even position my footwork and best angles.

Gau Callanta Jr. made my dream come true. He is a pageant guru with excellent skills and beauty queen making expertise.

He helped me with my catwalk and built the self-confidence that made me become Miss ABC Tayug.

More than making a beauty queen, sir Gau is indeed passionate about helping young women achieve their dreams and build their morale. As a former client, and now as a friend, I can say that he is the best in the region! I may not walk on stage wearing a crown now, but I’m always on air, serving the public by speaking the truth all the time. Speaking your truth is one of the best values that he taught me, and I will always be grateful!

“A beauty queen is all about wearing her crown on her heart not just on her head” that was sir Gau Callanta had taught me, that beauty pageants are more than that meets the eye.

Joining a pageant has always been a challenge for me — I started feeling butterflies in my stomach, thinking negative thoughts, reached the point where I want to give up because of fear and pressure that I’m feeling every single day.

Sir Gau is one of the best trainers who taught me to overcome those fears and change it with high confidence that would help me to bring out my best aura on the stage. He’ll never say “matatalo ka na huwag mong gawin iyan,” yet he’ll be the one to encourage you to stand firm to get the crown.Sir Gau is not just a q and a coach and walk-trainer; he’s also an excellent influencer to motivate you to your passion in pageantry and a honer to your abilities on how to make yourself presentable in public. He trained me on how to walk and talk on the stage right; how to answer pageant questions, and most of all he taught me that beauty pageant is not only about the woman who has the definition of beauty on her face but likewise, someone who has this beauty and goodness within her to complete the package

When I was younger, I’d dreamed of becoming a beauty queen. I wanted to try to put on elegant dresses and gowns. I tried to be witty as a true beauty queen and wear a crown.

Things change; priorities, hobbies, and passions too. When I was in my Junior High School years, I focused on broadcasting and modeling. I joined Pangasinan Supermodel 2017 and won. I joined various broadcasting competitions outside the school and won too. However, I realized that there is something I want to do again, that is entering the World of Pageantry. I joined a pageant, basically my first real pageant and won as 1st runner up.

Now that I am in Senior High School, I realized that I want more and that I want to continue what I started again. I looked up for real, and the best pageant coaches here in Pangasinan. I found out about Mr. Gau Callanta Jr. I’ve heard news about him being one of the best coaches in terms of pageant walk and talk. He is a very approachable man and a knowledgeable one. I received first-hand knowledge and words of wisdom about the World of Pageantry from him.

Mr. Gau made me realized that to get the crown, I need to be prepared. He made me believe in the idea of self-trust that I can win. He told me that a true beauty queen incorporates her heart in answering questions. Mr. Gau’s advice of always connecting the heart in every single way awakened the beauty queen in me once again.  He is God’s tool in making a difference in young women’s lives just like me.

Mr. Gau served as my inspiration and uplifted me to find my genuine self, to go on, to stand out, and to express myself confidently with a heart, as I join competitions soon.

A title that I may have never achieved without proper training.

If you plan to get your title someday, be it small or big, train hard and don’t be complacent. Pageantry is not just walking on the stage wearing an extraordinary evening gown, trust me, it is more than that, and I assure you that Sir Gau Callanta Jr. exactly knows what you need to learn and improve.

Having Sir Gau, you’ll learn how to do things right from an expert, and this was my edge and my secret when I became the Thomasian (UST) Psychology Ambassador.
